Crispy Air Fryer Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops (½–1 inch thick, about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Pork Chops

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
  2. Rub lightly with olive oil on both sides.

Tip: Dry pork chops ensure a crispier coating.


Step 2: Make the Crispy Coating

  1. In a shallow bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and optional herbs.
  2. Press each pork chop into the breadcrumb mixture, coating evenly on both sides.

Tip: Press firmly so the coating sticks but avoid compacting it too much.


Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.

Preheating ensures even crispiness and prevents sticking.


Step 4: Air Fry the Pork Chops

  1. Place pork chops in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each chop.
  2. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  3. Pork chops should reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) for safe consumption and optimal juiciness.

Step 5: Serve

  1. Remove the pork chops from the air fryer and let them rest for 3–5 minutes before serving.
