STEP 1: PREHEAT THE AIR FRYER
- Preheat air fryer to 170°C (340°F) for 3–5 minutes.
Preheating ensures even cooking and prevents undercooked centers.
STEP 2: MIX THE DRY INGREDIENTS
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Whisk well to distribute leavening evenly.
Proper mixing creates light and fluffy pancakes.
STEP 3: MIX THE WET INGREDIENTS
- In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Mix until smooth and fully combined.
STEP 4: MAKE THE PANCAKE BATTER
- Pour wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
- Stir gently until just combined.
The batter should be smooth but slightly thick.
Do not overmix, as this will make pancakes dense.
STEP 5: PREPARE THE PAN
- Lightly grease a heat-safe pan or silicone mold.
- Optional: line the bottom with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Pour batter into the pan, filling no more than halfway.
- Add optional toppings evenly on top.
STEP 6: AIR FRY THE PANCAKE
- Place the pan carefully into the air fryer basket.
- Cook at 170°C (340°F) for 10–13 minutes.
The pancake is done when:
- The top looks set
- A toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
- The surface springs back lightly when touched
STEP 7: COOL AND SERVE
- Remove pancake from air fryer.
- Let cool for 2–3 minutes.
- Slice or serve whole.
