Ingredients (Serves 2–3)
- 2–3 fish fillets (150–200 g each)
- 1½ tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Optional:
- Lemon zest
- Fresh herbs
- Chili flakes
Equipment Needed
- Air fryer
- Mixing bowl
- Tongs or spatula
- Paper towels
Step 1: Prepare the Fish
Pat the fish dry with paper towels.
Dry fish:
- Cooks evenly
- Gets better texture
- Sticks less
Check and remove any bones.
Step 2: Season the Fish
In a small bowl, mix:
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Lemon juice
Brush this mixture gently over both sides of the fish.
Let rest for 5 minutes.
Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Lightly oil the basket if needed.
Step 4: Air Fry the Fish
Place the fish in a single layer.
Cook for:
- 7–9 minutes, then flip
- 3–5 more minutes, until done
The fish is ready when:
- It flakes easily
- The center is opaque
- Internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C)
Step 5: Rest and Serve
Remove the fish and rest for 2 minutes.
Finish with:
- Fresh herbs
- Lemon slices
