  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for heat

For the Gnocchi

  • 1 lb (450g) potato gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon garlic powder or dried Italian herbs

Optional Add-Ins & Garnishes

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Steak

  1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, toss the steak with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  3. Let sit for 10–15 minutes to allow flavors to penetrate.

Tip: Dry steak cubes sear better and develop a golden crust in the air fryer.

Step 2: Prep the Gnocchi

  1. Toss gnocchi with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder or Italian herbs.
  2. If using fresh gnocchi, pat dry to avoid sogginess.

Tip: Lightly coating gnocchi with oil helps it crisp up in the air fryer.

Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.

Preheating ensures even cooking and crispiness.

Step 4: Cook the Steak Bites

  1. Place steak cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding.
  2. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 6–8 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  3. Steak bites should be seared on the outside and cooked to your preferred doneness (medium-rare is ideal).

Tip: Adjust time depending on cube size and desired doneness.

Step 5: Cook the Gnocchi

  1. Once steak bites are done, remove them and set aside.
  2. Place the gnocchi in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  3. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway through until gnocchi is golden and crispy on the edges.

Optional: During the last 2 minutes, toss in garlic and butter for extra flavor.

Step 6: Combine Steak Bites and Gnocchi

  1. Toss cooked steak bites with gnocchi in a bowl.
  2. Add sautéed vegetables if desired.
  3. Sprinkle fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese on top.

Serve immediately while hot for the best texture and flavor.
